Myself 😌

Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself. My name is Vimukthi Sulakshana Sinhalathilakage, and I am 22 years old. I am the only child in my family, and currently, it is just my mother and me. Tragically, we lost my father on December 31, 2020. That was the darkest day of my life, and I prefer not to recall it because the pain is still too difficult to bear.

I started my school journey at St. Mary's College in Dehiwala and later moved to Thurstan College in Colombo. After passing my Advanced Level examinations there, I was able to enter the University of the Visual and Performing Arts. I consider this to be one of the greatest achievements of my life.

Currently, I spend my leisure time engaging in dance and music. I have a deep passion for learning and practicing the classical aspects of both these art forms and pursuing a path forward through art. My absolute favorite musical instrument to play is the Daula.

As for my future aspirations, I hope to successfully complete my university studies and carry this art forward for future generations. I want to preserve it exactly as our teachers taught us, without distorting its pure form.

Whenever I talk about myself, I remember my loving parents who raised me and the teachers who gave me the gift of knowledge with deep gratitude and love.🙏❤️
